WREN

Bistro, bar & market in quaint and historic little Beaufort, South Carolina.   Beaufort is a pleasant surprise of a destination for multiple families who travel to Parris Island, SC to see their precious Marine Corps. recruits graduate.  It is a little gem, lovely waterfront area dotted with restaurants and coffee shops, and then nestled amongst the side streets is WREN.  What a stunningly decorated Bistro, fabulous service and one of the best meals I've had.  That says a lot, I love good food.  All round, a wonderful experience, and we got to see our son graduate.  That called for a glass of bubbly.

Walking the streets of Beaufort, SC - ice cream anyone??

Oh life is easy When it's Sleepy Time Down South..........

And now for a delightful evening of delicious food at 'WREN'

The wonderful welcoming entrance to Wren

Beautiful bar area

End seats are like thrones for the king and queen

Amazing menu, EVERYTHING we tried was absolutely delicious

Lobster and crab bisque - creamy and oh so delicious

Crispy flounder - yum

My all-time favorite meal ever - Sea Grits - with lobster, sea scallops and shrimp - cannot describe how delicious every bite was.  And of course I mopped up the sauce....

Tuna Tartare with Risotto

Love the oversized armchairs and industrial lighting - jute rugs hanging from the walls as room divider drapes

Rustic, home, comfortable, chic, urban, love it

Big arrangements of greenery, big statement

Three little birds, sat by my doorstep, singing sweet songs, of melodies pure and true, singing - this is my message to you-oo-oo.  Don't worry, bout a thing, cause every little thing's gonna be alright.

I love this reclaimed wood dresser/wine storage unit

The bar area - filled up quickly, bustling and fun.
